I know the number of men who are actually a danger to other humans is not small. The question is whether the level of vigilance or perhaps performative threatened aggression from straight men to each other actually prevents them from showing any warmth to each other. How many times have I wonder how it affects the development or socialisation of.boys who see adult men saying things like "if anyone (male) comes near my daughter, Ill kill him". Maybe it doesnt have any bad effect. Maybe its necessary. Dont know
