To take the tree and decorations down

So fed up with Christmas. My husband is miserable. Sat on his phone while toddler opened presents, big row when we got home from family’s house. I’m so totally fed up and done with it all. Would i be unreasonable to pack all the decorations and be done with all this BS.

Seems a bit sad for toddler.
When did you put the decorations up?

Kingscallops · 26/12/2025 09:42

I always do it day after boxing day.

MovedlikeHarlowinMonteCarlo · 26/12/2025 09:44

Boring.

LilyBunch25 · 26/12/2025 09:45

Maybe just leave them for a few more days for the sake of your toddler. It isn't exactly their fault their parents are uncommunicative and miserable.

MyCheeryMouse · 26/12/2025 09:47

Toddler is almost 2 so won’t realise it’s gone early. Yes you’re right @LilyBunch25 poor soul has miserable uncommunicative parents :(

Take them down? Why? Unless they're massively in your way, surely having the Christmas decorations up with make everything look a bit nicer even if you're fed up?

Purlant · 26/12/2025 09:49

Just do what you like, it’s your house!!

AmIHumanOrAmIAYeti · 26/12/2025 09:49

Assuming you’re an adult, do what you want.

(it’s not the tree that wants sorting out though.)

Sharpzebra · 26/12/2025 09:51

Not the trees fault or the toddlers for that matter but it's up to you personally I would sit down and talk to my DH about the way he acted

Nopayrise · 26/12/2025 09:54

Leave the decs and LTB

@MyCheeryMouse I'm so sorry. I just saw this thread on my "threads I'm on".

I didn't mean to comment on it. I'm not sure how I did. I was what'sapping.

Your Christmas is not boring. That was so unfortunate a comment. I'm sorry.
