Betwixt Christmas and new year

we’re visiting in laws for a couple of days, have a sons birthday and are invited to a new friends New Year’s Eve party which we’re looking forward to

I was planning on visiting family and friends but my car died on Christmas Eve so we’ll be staying closer to home than anticipated.

Got Botox on Saturday, working on the work days, in-laws for Hogmanay.

No plans! Really looking forward to some unstructured down time. Maybe a few walks with DH, DC, DDogs and with friends, but other than that, reading, knitting, watching films, and sitting on my arse drinking wine in the morning if I want to. And eating leftovers and other delicious, low-effort food.

Rearranging my bedroom
creating a capsule wardrobe for 2026
reorganising the cupboards downstairs
finally repotting the bloody jade plant
gathering stuff to go in the New Year's 2 yard skip

Head to the gym for a swim a couple of times.
Paint the tiles and walls in our en-suite (moved in this year but can't afford to renovate it properly yet).
Try rearranging the furniture in the lounge because it feels disjointed and that is annoying me, but I can't work out how to do it differently. DH will hate me.
Dog walks on the beach.
DS1 is having a 'gathering' one night next week - need to warn the neighbours.
DD has a friend over to play next week.
DD wants to rearrange her bedroom - we shall see as I'm not so keen.
DS1 at a party NYE, so DH, DS2, DD and I will have our own party at home.

Will probably need to do some work too, before term starts again. Really don't want to!

We are going to Alton towers on Saturday then drayton manor on Tuesday
