To believe this is a Christmas miracle.

My dear old pony started going blind about eight years ago. She is now fully blind. She has adapted fine and can find her way about the field in an out of stable and so on.

Periodically her eyes become sore and inflamed so we call the vet, get drops and pain relief and she has responded to treatment. Not this time though. Eye still closed up and swolen. The eye opens again when she is recovering from a flare up

So we were forced to contemplate surgery, or in the worst case letting her go because of her age.

Have upped my attendance at church recently and said quite a few prayers.

Went to her stable at 7 AM today to give treatments and the bad eye had opened. So it seems our prayers have been answered.🙏

It's not been an easy year for us. Needless to say we are overjoyed today.

Wishing you all peace and happiness for the coming year.

Lovely that she responded to the medication. Thank goodness for vets!

DeathBanana · 25/12/2025 12:38

If I were a saint that’s the kind of miracle I’d be performing.

So happy for you and your girl 🐴

I’m very glad the pony is better. It’s awful when animals are sick and in pain.

And I’n happy prayer helps you. But it’s not a Christmas miracle, nor is it an answer to prayers.

Aww I love this 🤍 Best Christmas gift ever! Merry Christmas I'm so glad your pony is on the mend 😊🎄🎅

It’s neither a miracle or anything to do with prayers - 100% down to veterinary science and applying the prescribed medication.

What's wrong with believing in a little Christmas miracle? 🥺

Why don't you just shut up? The OP probably knows its not a miracle but why would you tell her it isn't? Fucking meanness for the sake of it. I'm sick of all the bastarding cunts on here who just can't take a day off.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 25/12/2025 16:11

BloodandGlitter · 25/12/2025 16:29

I'm glad your God heard your prayers and I hope your horse continues to improve so you can have a few more wonderful years with her.

AMurderofMurderingCrows · 25/12/2025 16:38

Did you pray to St. Francis?

Miracle or not I'm so pleased your dear old pony's eye is looking better. They are such a worry aren't they?

Moonflower12 · 25/12/2025 16:39

That’s lovely to hear! Go old pony.
our oldie ( she’s 29) was a big lame today. Luckily it was a big stone.

PunkrockerGirl59 · 25/12/2025 18:17

God there's some miserable bastard Christmas joy-suckers on here Confused So happy for you and your lovely pony, OP and yes, it is, for you, a Christmas miracle and an answer to your prayers.
