Untaxed Car on Public Road

Has anyone reported an untaxed car before? A car has been parked on the public road outside our house for many months. I don’t know whose car it is but suspect it’s a neighbour. It never moves. I have checked and it is NOT taxed. It’s causing a bit of an obstruction because no one else can park there. WIBU to report this and what is likely to happen?

Report it, it’s illegal. From seeing ones on local streets they stick a bit sticky sticker on the windscreen and wheel clamp it for a number of weeks before towing it away if the road tax isn’t paid in the meantime.

A SWAT team will enter the house of the perp armed with stun grenades and drag them off to lock up, the veeeee-hickle will be sent to the pound. This will probably happen at dawn so get your earplugs in

I did this for a car parked in my street a few years ago.

I reported first to the local council through a website link saying how long the car had been there (about six months), that it was untaxed and had some visible damage.

A couple of weeks later papers appeared on the car windscreen basically saying the car was unworthy and must be removed - the papers were taken so someone on the street knew about it.

A few weeks after that the car was clamped by someone from the DVLA.

And then a few weeks later the car was gone!!
