Is it just "Christmas" that causes problems?

Lots of posts " I hate Christmas", "I'm run off my feet after ungrateful/ unhelpful people but it's Tradition".

If you come from a religion, culture, country which does not have Christmas - say Eid or Hannukah, Diwali etc etc do you feel a great pressure to follow tradition or expectations to the detrimental of your happiness or inner calm?

Yabu. - nope all fine here, it must be "Christmas"
Yanbu- yes it's as demanding and there are just as many problems in x.

Yes!! We celebrate Eid and it is just as crazy in the run up! Queues out of the door for the specialist food shops. Getting presents sorted for everyone, decorations etc. We also have a tradition of wearing new clothes for Eid so an added burden of making sure that outfits are all sorted too!

oh and I forgot the baking! We traditionally like to share goodies on the day with friends, family and neighbours - in the past that has meant being up until 2am baking cakes and biscuits !
