I suffer with heavy periods as a rule. However this month was extremely heavy and painful (vomiting in pain) and I passed several large clots, the largest being the size of a pear (sorry tmi). I saw my GP as I blacked out (I am already anaemic) who took bloods and the results aren’t back yet.
My period usually lasts 5 days with some spotting afterwards, however we are day 11 and it has ramped back up with bleeding and small clots.
I must add that I had a recent ultrasound of the area due to the heavy periods and anaemia and all looked fine. And I have been sterilised so it can’t be pregnancy.
Is there any other reason that could be causing this amount of bleeding?
