Miffed about my m & s shortbread (light-hearted)

Brought some m & s shortbread on 27/10. Would make a nice gift for someone I thought an £3.50 in a lovely tin with stag on it. Went to wrap other day and BB date was 12/11/25! Gave me the right hump. So have to buy another gift and couldn't even take the sticker off as it was printed into the metal tin.🤣 Sort it out m & s, you're supposed to be quality!

Buy another one and return the original one you bought

I don't see what they've done wrong? The date was two weeks after you bought it?

I would but don't think I kept the receipt and my nearest m & s isn't local so would cost more to return than what it cost originally.

Tbf it was in date when you bought it.

I doubt they’d refund or exchange it as it was in date when you bought it.

I've had this with mince pies when buying ahead for Christmas when they first come out. Just means I eat them and buy more 🤣

OneGreyBiscuit · 17/12/2025 11:42

I see what you mean but usually these sort of things are usually brought for Xmas, was just meant to be a light-hearted post, to make people chuckle.

My DD was sitting smirking and said "I'll eat it!"

I was about to say, eat it. Put the kettle on!
