Christmas judgment is strong this year

There seems to be an increase of oppinionated, judgemental people about what people decide to do for their Christmas this year.

Is it jealousy? Snobbery? Superiority complex? Why is there so much judgement about? If people are happy buying all the presents.... let them be happy. If people want an eco Christmas and buy a couple of presents good for them. Christmas pizza for xmas dinner? Sounds great.

What are you doing for Christmas this year?

What are you guilty of judging people for? I must admit those flashy blue lights get me everytime...

Have a lovely Christmas everyone however you chose to celebrate.

YABU- haven't noticed any difference
YANBU- there's more judgement this year

There's always a lot of judgement.

Buying 'tat', buying too much, not buying enough, decorations being too tacky, decorations not being tacky enough, how/if people so santa/elf on the shelf, eating too much, eating the 'wrong' foods, advent calanders, December boxes, Xmas eve boxes..... it goes on and on and on.

It's just people validating their own choices by shitting all over others who make different choices.

I'll be having my usual Christmas BBQ, eating too much, indulging my kids as much as I'm able to, and hoping everyone has a lovely time.

I think it's the same every year. I can't understand why people spend so much energy worrying about what everyone else is doing in the privacy of their homes on 25th December. Although, I have to admit to judging those massive inflatable Christmas blow up grinches etc, they're bloody hideous and an assault on the eyeballs. I normally celebrate Yule and the changing of the seasons on 21st so I'll be hosting an evening feast and some crafting activities / board games with friends. For the actual day I'm planning on an organised hike in the Lake District so I have some company then home to cosy up and eat my own body weight in pigs in blankets probably. Whatever anyone decides to do I hope you have a lovely festive time 😊
