To want Launcelot to be my relative.

I have been doing my family tree for several years and it's been painstaking. I am really cautious and check many times over to make sure I am not making mistakes. I am horrified by some trees on Ancestry that just pick any old connection, if they have the same name. My family are Scottish and Irish, with the Irish being difficult with lack of records.
Today, I discovered an record for an Irish ancestor (unusual name, so I know it's correct) ancestor and right beside him on the record is "Launcelot" same surname.
For the first time in all my years of research, I am thinking of throwing caution to the wind and claiming him with no evidence, because I want to be related to Launcelot from Ireland. I mean who doesn't want a gr gr uncle Launcelot, right?

Claim him, it's a great name, and you might just be right 👍

I'm Irish, can I claim him too and keep it as our little secret?

We can claim Launcelot and also his offspring - Launcelittle.
