My husband is working on an idea which is basically a Vinted-style marketplace just for toys/games, plus a price comparison tool for new toys (Smyths, Entertainer, Argos, Amazon etc).
The idea is:
sell/swap unwanted toys easily
snap a photo and the AI writes the listing
compare prices in one place (Smyths, Entertainer, Argos, Amazon etc).
reduce toy waste / clutter
avoid the chaos of Facebook Marketplace

He’s excited about it, but I’m not sure if parents would actually use something like this?

AIBU by not supporting the idea or is it actually something we could all use?

I would use this
Got loads of shit I can't be bothered to get rid of properly.

How will postage be arranged? Will it be primarily collection?

Sounds great

Your DH won’t be very happy if someone steals his idea from your MN post!

Edited to say a quick google shows that vinted already has a toy + games section.

I'm not sure it would be vastly different from any other second hand market place sites, apart from the product limitations. The prices between a new toy/game are hugely different to a second hand one, so its not really price comparison. Also, prices seldom alter too much for new due to RRP.

Do it if you want a niche hobby, but I doubt you'll be earning much from it. Also agree with PP, you have just handed his intellectual property over to MN!
