To give DD more antibiotics!

Sorry… not an aibu.

DD has started antibiotics and requires 2 doses a day. For extenuating circumstances, I couldn’t give today’s first dose until 1.30pm. Can I give the second dose now? Or is this too close together? Does anyone know??

I’d call 111 for advice

It will depend on the antibiotic. Some are fine, others need 12 hours between doses. As per previous post I would call 111 and get some advice.

calling 111 would result in call back probably hours later as it’s not as urgent as other callers, so I wouldn’t bother. You guys have so much trust in the system that is so unresponsive to the semi urgent medical needs.
Hopefully a doctor reads this on here tonight and advises you.
However, In the past when this happened with my family I gave the second dose just before bed otherwise the timing for administering the meds will be at 2am and 2 pm (12 hrs in between) for a whole week which is not doable.
