To use Cinch to get a car quickly?

Parents need a car asap, very specific as to what they need. Can’t find any locally but there are a couple on Cinch. Would IBU to suggest they try there - has anyone had any experience of using Cinch?

I wouldn’t. The reviews on TrustPilot are not good when there’s an issue.

Seems you can’t really test drive the car either. I personally wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive and possibly an independent inspection.

I know 3 people that have bought from Cinch and all of them had issues with their vehicles within 6 months. Only 1 of them still has the car they bought from them.
i wouldn’t to be honest.

My husband and I bought our cars on cinch..there was a slight delay with my husband's bug mine arrived as arranged and I liked it

Katemax82 · 03/12/2025 20:22

Just to add I got a Toyota Aygo that was about 6 years old and I never had any problems with it

Not seeing it first meant I wasn’t clear about what I was getting, I liked the car but not the spec.

You could test it for a week at no more than 250 miles.

I sent it back and they came and collected it no problem and I then bought the same car at a higher spec.

We used them and it was totally fine. Liked the fact that we could try it for a week to check it was right. We also traded the old car in, price seemed fair and there was no quibble at all with the price they offered when they collected it.

I used them for my current car, I knew the make and model well so didn’t need a test drive. Their customer service was fantastic - there was a problem at my end that delayed delivery and despite it being my issue they provided a hire car for the duration of the delay. I’d use them again without a second thought.

They do offer a test drive.

We used them..thought they were excellent..no problem with car 4 years on.

Have bought three cars with them, all straightforward, great cars. I actually prefer it to a dealer as you get the car for a week and can return for any reason which we did with one of them and swapped to a different one.

Netcurtainnelly · 20/02/2026 13:52

No test driving.

grannycake · 20/02/2026 15:05

We bought and sold with Cinch. No issues although we already knew the car as we had owned similar in the past

Ughughughughugh · 20/02/2026 15:07

I did! It’s brilliant - it’s just straight from
the bmw garage rather than an independent garage but I got in on cinch. They’ve been great- I had a chip on it they noticed from driving it to me and they paid and sent someone to fix it!

landlordhell · 21/02/2026 07:44

I went to see a car yesterday at a Cinch centre. Had to make an appointment so they could pull the car from their massive car lot. Took it for a test drive ( had to sign a £300 excess policy which I wasn’t happy about) but they were very good and not pushy. The car wasn’t right as after it stopped raining we noticed too many chips on the bonnet and they wouldn’t sort them.

It’s 14 days now.

Have you checked with local dealers that have nationwide capacity - even on their website . Many happy ship cars on other parts of the country.

Parents in the borders got car shipped from South of England by Arnold Clark

Terrible. I'd never use them again. Didn't bother to clean car on drop off and said I could ask for money from customer service to get it cleaned.

Biggest problem was a leak that started just outside the warranty period, leaks every time is rains and unfortunately for me we had a very dry spring, early summer last year so the leak didn't show straight away. They didn't want to know about it.

Maybe that’s why they didn’t clean it? Terrible.
