Lots of posts from employees posting about their local authority school fines for taking their child on holiday in terms time.

Yes I appreciate it's expensive but aibu in thinking it's weird to bragg about it on LinkedIn

These are the same people who would post their beach/festival pics on Facebook when they called in sick, after failing to have their annual leave approved 🫣 it won't end well.

I typically don’t hire people who can’t adhere to simple rules so no, it’s not a good idea.

  1. last week of term they don't learn anything, apparently
  2. my child, I know what's best for them
  3. holidays are so important, they learn so much on an all inclusive trip
  4. teachers strike
