DS lateral incisor not coming through

My 7 year old DS starting losing his baby teeth very early. He’s already got 8 adult teeth.
Both his lateral incisors have fallen out, one has grown back completely but on the other side there’s just a gap. I used a torch and couldn’t even see any white, just the gum.
Is this unusual? It’s been a few months since it fell out.

More kids than I realised have missing adult teeth. I’m not sure you can really tell without an xray though.

We’ve just been through it with ds 13 two of his baby teeth hadn’t come out and no adult teeth underneath, so the baby teeth were sinking into the gum. He had them removed under GA a couple of weeks ago. Now need to wait a while to see how they settle before I assume braces unfortunately.

So it’s good the baby teeth have come out. If there’s nothing underneath there’s still a chance other surround teeth can push into the gap so definitely worth a dental appointment if you can. It could just be that your ds’s are slow coming through so don’t mean to worry you.
