Given it's an anonymous forum, please share how much time you average on your phone a day. I'm embarrassed by mine and need to see how far outside of normal it is!

Not just a guess but using the data in your iPhone or Android.
iPhone: Settings > Screen Time
Android: Settings > Digital Wellbeing and parental controls

About 10 minutes a day, I don't use it much. I find it too small for most things even though it's a Pro Max.

Actually just checked and it's 5 minutes

Edited

Does that mean you are using a laptop for a lot of the standard phone things instead? I'd be completely bereft if I could only use it for 11 minutes a day.

Far, far too much. I think it’s pretty much an addiction

You're not the only one, at least!

I can't unsee this thread. I didn't know that feature existed.

Oh lordy.

11h 21min on Friday 😳 (I'd like to think citymapper app and researching where I was going on a greater London roaming day out, but still...)

I can't find where to see the weekly average, which is probably a blessing.

I'm sorry!

Way too much...I don't even want to look. I have adhd and do struggle with impulse control, but I don't want to fritter my life away looking at a tiny screen, so I need to do something to break the cycle.

Once you spot it, it's easy to see how it becomes a habit. I will pick my phone up if I have a spare minute and I'm not even looking at anything. It's the equivalent of wandering to the kitchen and opening the fridge.

Mine is horrifying... Peak of 14 hours 😏😂😱😱

Usual MN/Youtube as well as Mails!

... A lot of this too, while I'm sleeping... Films I start then fall asleep... Then phone progresses through my watch list!

Yes, all shopping is done on an iMac, it's got the biometric stuff and Apple Pay so it's like a big phone, in fact most stuff is done on that as I prefer it, I also have an iPad. I just use my phone to connect these up and when I'm out. I mainly use the iMac for MN as it seems to cope with having the ad blocker on and I don't get the annoying pop ups like on the phone and iPad. It is less distracting as well

I don’t have my screen time on but I’d say a couple of hours per day.
I was sat waiting for an appointment yesterday and every single person was staring at a phone in the waiting room. They all looked like zombies taken over by a phone.

Sad isn't it
Nobody talking to each other.
