Just came back from a party and lots of noise other kids screaming and he wouldn’t stop crying due to the noise. He’s still upset now but getting better. Is this normal? He’s 7. I’ve never noticed this before.

Being stuck with lots of people screaming at the top of their lungs would make me miserable too! Unless you have any other reason to worry about him then I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. 🙂

My son hated loud noise at that age too. He ate lunch with a teacher as he couldn’t stand the lunch time noise. He gave up certain hobbies as the loud noises bothered him.

He’s a teenager now and is fine with noise.

But being really upset about something unusual can mean an upset elsewhere so try to calm him down and talk to him without any pressure. I hope he is OK.

@LikeMaria thank you. He goes find it hard making and maintaining friends. He does t know how to talk to kids his own age (he’s 7)

I just feel all the other 7 year old boys seem so much more grown up! I feel a little sad for him.
