Can I take a break from hrt

I have been on the Everol sequi patch since January and it seemed to work at first . I’m still having regular(ish) periods but lots of other horrible horrible symptoms so the doctor recommended the patch. The trouble is my patches are now totally out of sync with my bleed?!? I feel like I’m having two awful pmt weeks a month but only one bleed. I can’t bear it. Has anyone else had this or has anyone taken a break? I appreciate you aren’t doctors but I’d like real like experiences before I go to the doctor. Thanks for reading

Talk to your doctor. I have a Mirena coil that took care of bleeding and now adds progesterone to my oestrogen gel to protect my uterus.

Also recommend the mirena.

I still have periods and can still feel myself ovulate, but they are super light.

No mood issues, helps me sleep it's brilliant.

Not the same situation as I’m on oestrogel and progesterone tablets but this month I had a very light bleed 3 days before I stopped my progesterone and it stopped when I finished it. I’m doing 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off progesterone so just going with it as I’m not getting any PMT symptoms. It d speak to the doctor and wouldn’t just stop taking it

Go back to the GP and ask for their advice I was on the patches and it wasn’t quite right. My prescription was changed and they added progesterone tablets and that has been much better. The levels of hormones obviously aren’t right for you and it can take a while to get the right balance.

Thank you all for responding I’m at the end of my tether with. Need to go to the doctor I know.
