We live in South East
Need to pick a school for our children.
We ( parents) are both average earners. Both in mid 40s.

Both schools are a 1 mile drive. Both good. Both Church Schools. Both have wrap around care.

I always thought I would pick B but I didn’t get the feeling when I walked around today. I was shocked I liked B which I didn’t initially think I’d consider.

A - In a very affluent area- we’re not hugely wealthy!!!! Very good academic record. Focused on Academia. Nightmare to park at.
When I visited A , I got the feeling. I loved it . I don’t any parents who have a child there.

B- Focuses on Holistic approach. Forest school. I know some parents who have a child at this school and they rave about it. Set in stunning grounds. Preforms slightly lower academically ( bit hugely)
I didn’t get ‘the feeling’ when I walked around though. I was desperate for it to be the one but I felt it appeared small inside.

My head tells me to go for B- holistic , forest school . People I like , have children there and give it great reviews.

But My heart loved A. I felt it was fantastic. But I’m afraid of the affluent’ catchment area and this being very competitive. But I don’t know this . This is just what I think could happen.

What would you choose A or B?
AIBU to consider A ?

They both sound lovely schools and realistically, your DC will probably be happy at both.

The deadline isn’t for a while, so I’d sit with the decision for a few weeks and mull it over.

The biggest factor for me is ease of a commute you will do every single day multiple times a day for years.

If parking is a nightmare. Avoid.

I'm not sure quite what 'the feeling" is? In your position I would go for B, but they both sound like lovely schools so don't worry too much about it. 💐
