to think that BT should have reduced my bill by £8 a month....

before I decided to call and ask for my MAC number? I've been with them since the 90s with my internet connection ffs...suddenly, I ask to swap companies and surprise surprise...£8 a month off the bill, no questions. That's nearly a hundred quid a year.

WTF?

I know I'm being a bit naieve to think a company would reward loyalty, but £8 a month is a truck load of money...money grabbing b*stards.

May I humbly suggest that anyone on BT broadband that you ring them up right now and asks for your MAC number. Even if you have no intention of moving supplier...tell them you are. And watch the buggers cut your bill by pounds and pounds.

Right oh...rant over and hopefully some karma restored in the world this evening

Oh God, don't even get me started on BT

2 attempts to get a MAC code, then even after I moved supplier, they kept billing me saying they were still supplying me with my calls.....took nearly a year before it was sorted. This was after the 5th numbskull bt customer service advisor telling me it was all sorted.

Oh lordy...maybe I'd better stop with them, then and take the cut in rates????

I'd be p**ssed off cross about that kind of service too. Funnily enough, at the end of the call the woman said, I'll just get your MAC code and then kept me on hold for 5 minutes+ so I hung up.

Bugger...though it'd be easy to sort out new, cheap broadband
