I’ve been married for over 10 years and have 3 DCs with DH.

There is something that has been bothering me for a while. DH always expects something in return. E.g. I’m suffering from terrible back pain as one DC has special needs and I’m constantly carrying them. DH says I will give you a back rub if you give me one.

I never experience anyone being nice to me just for the sake of being nice.

I so wish that I was loved, and that I could share my emotions with someone.

Just wanted to get this off my chest.

What did your dh say when you sat down and talked to him about this?

He does one of these:

1. You expect too much. This is what real life is like.
2. He brings up unrelated stuff - I’m pissed off with you too because you never empty the bin.
3. Ignores it completely.
