I know minimalism and low spend has been a thing for years but this year it seems to have really taken off across social media and previously quite spendy youtubers are doing no or low spend years, talking about sustainability and intentional buying / living.
I don't have an issue with any of that at all it sounds great and I myself try to be careful with spending and I don't buy a ton of stuff, although I am not a minimalist. I do wonder though if a lot of this recent wave of more about the fact that they simply can't afford to buy what they used to anymore and that if prices were still low in comparison to earnings they'd still be eating out, buying daily coffees, new clothing, skincare etc on the regular?
