Would I be missing out if I stop Reformer Pilates?

I used to go once a week, it was my “balance” session alongside badminton twice a week and pole twice a week. My instructor was brilliant but she’s retired and buggered off to Cornwall. The owner’s been covering classes and he’s a bit of a dick, and the new instructor just isn’t great.

So I’ve decided to stop for now and maybe pick it up again elsewhere later. I’m early 30s, AIBU to think I’m not really missing out, given I’ve already got other active things in the mix?

Just do mat?

Could you do mat Pilates yourself at home for a while til a more congenial class opens up?

Pilates places tend to form in clusters due to the demographics of the area (no point risking setting up such an expensive business somewhere that's not even got a Pure Gym or an artisan coffee shop that specialises in sculpting the coffee excreted from a fairy's arse with a brush made from unicorn horsenut hairs at a glacial pace - best business move is to be close to at least one other business that's already got regular customers in the correct demographic).

Just find the next one along and go there instead.

Just do the mat routine at home on a roller.
