Bullying At School

Hi All,

I’m after some advice please , I have a 12 year old son , who has repeatedly been bullied by the same individual. And despite advising the school of this and as recently as last weekend, the situation has escalated to the point of my Son being physically attacked earlier this week.

He was able to defend himself but it ended up with 2 against one, and one of the bully’s is considerably bigger than my son.

My son and the bully were both excluded for a day, various accusations have been banned about my son all unfounded I might add, and CCTV has been reviewed and is clearly shows that my son was the victim in this.

I have spoken to the school as I want the exclusion not to be on his record, I’ve been advised that Head can deal with this but I am awaiting an email back from the school.

More information is coming to light and I’m just extremely upset by all of this and feel that the school is not adhering to there own Anti Bullying Policies.

Has anyone has this situation and been successful in overturning the exclusion being on record and or dealt with the governors ? Or so I need to seek legal representation?

I don’t want this incident hindering my son’s opportunity at a particular school he is hoping to move too.

Thank you in advance for any advice received

You def want a meeting with the Head asap to ask what strategies they are planning to use to stop the bullying of your child. This is not acceptable. Can he change schools?
