How many spam calls do you get a day?

2 today, 3 yesterday, 4 the day before. Does my head in. I block them then just get called from another number. I swear it's from the m&s leak as they started just after. Could be a coincidence. How do I make it stop?

Rarely get any.
Perhaps one every 3 months or so, and usually my phone will flash up 'suspected spam'.

DiscoBob · 06/11/2025 17:45

None. I think I had one dodgy call from some bloke pretending to be from Action Fraud but that's it, in all the time I've had this number.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 06/11/2025 17:46

About 2 or 3 a day. Usually a robot voice claiming to be from indeed or hmrc.

I block and report the number but theyre like bloody whack a mole aren't they.

Kamek · 06/11/2025 17:47

Have you looked on your phone settings to see if there is an option to block unknown callers? Ive got that on and I only get occasional ones slip through now. I do see in my call list the rejected ones though so I can see it is working

tilypu · 06/11/2025 17:48

Not enough. One of my favorite hobbies is wasting the time of scammers.

Rarely get any calls now though. Think I'm blacklisted...

zingally · 06/11/2025 17:52

They come in little flurries for me, but probably on average maybe one a month? Most recently was a recorded message, supposedly from Indeed (the job advert people), asking me to save the number to Whatsapp, regarding a job. I haven't used any website even vaguely like Indeed for at least 20 years.

I do tend to get a few more on my landline (yes, I still have one of those!), but as I'm out the house from 7am-6pm, 5 days a week, I'm rarely at home to be bothered by them!

menopausalfart · 06/11/2025 18:21

I've only recently started getting them. One from Spain and one from France.

MotherofPearl · 06/11/2025 18:28

Seldom. One a month at most.

CharlotteCChapel · 06/11/2025 18:32

None, both my numbers are registered with the TPS and that drops fold calling. My mobile helpfully identifies spam calls and I block them .

shellyleppard · 06/11/2025 18:34

Very few spam phone calls. Get a few on text or messenger. Latest WhatsApp one is a job offer.....

Blocking all unknown numbers seems like a bad idea - there re some you need eg if the bank is querying a transaction.

Im just getting those wretched indeed (probably scam fake not the real outfit) ones. They’re obviously not very targeted, I’m going to retire soon!😂

FlibbertyGibbitt · 06/11/2025 19:56

None for ages. Spam emails though, that’s a different matter. I get loads of them and as hard as I block they still keep on coming 🙄

SliceofTosst · 06/11/2025 20:51

Couple a day.

ThatsNotAKnife · 06/11/2025 20:53

None. Landline rarely rings too, I don't answer it unless it's family.

Laserwho · 06/11/2025 20:54

2 or 3 daily, I don't answer if I don't recognise the number. Anyone who really needs me leaves a message, they never do.

Same here. Very few.

SheSpeaks · 06/11/2025 20:56

5-6 usually. They are annoying. I answer all calls but do block obvious spam numbers

Netcurtainnelly · 06/11/2025 21:25

I had the WhatsApp one saying mum this is my.new number.
So stupid, they dont even know whether people are mums when they send them.
