Oestrogen supplementation if you can tolerate it?

BestieNo1 · 05/11/2025 23:20

Hi yes I did have itchy skin. As well as being irritable and sensitive all round. I’m on a combo of oestrogen gel, progesterone pills and testosterone gel but sorry not sure which one cured it. Get it sorted though via your GP or it will get worse and drive you mad xxx

Bland oatmeal based moisturiser and trying to wear a layer of cotton under wool clothes and not putting the electric blanket on high. If you scratch it gets much worse.

Yes it’s driving me bonkers , can’t sleep , absolutely exhausted, I’m awake all night scratching 😫

As a short term help until you can get to dr to look at hormonal options, a drowsy antihistamine helped me sleep - I used Benylin chesty cough mixture, the one with dihydramine in it. It's not the long term solution of course, but might help you get some rest. Magnesium, B6 and B12 supplements can also help with sleep to some extent
