Together 38 years. Two DC and two SDC. All adults. Feels like no relationship is left and I find it very hard to even talk to him. He is not a bad person, the opposite in fact but I would just like to live a little whilst I hopefully still can. Financially okay. But is it easy to start again mid 60s. AIBU to want to leave?

Increasing numbers of women are.

Think very hard though, especially about money. I remember my mum tearfully saying "I just want to live on my own" when she was about 60. She never left though - my dad died a few years later and left her pretty well off. She took the hard nosed approach.

And think about potential loneliness.
