In a lovely hotel - no complaints at all. En suite bathroom and separate loo - with it's own phone. It's about 10 feet to the other phone. Does anyone ever make a call while sitting on the loo?
Maybe I'm missing the point.
Also the clean white cotton mat placed by the bed at turn down??
I'm sure there is other hotel etiquette passing me by.

Could be handy if you have a fall and need to get help? It happened to my mum and my dad wasn’t in the room at the time. She managed to phone down to reception and get help. Turned out she had sprained her foot tripping out of the shower and could barely crawl.

Yes that's true but must be a tiny proportion of hotel guests

I guess it’s a tiny cost to them for a massive benefit if someone does need help in the bathroom after a fall or something? I’d assume statistically you are more likely to have a fall/accident in the bathroom than the bedroom - but you wouldn’t only put a phone in the bathroom, so you get it in both.
