Putting on half a stone in two weeks is excessive

Well im going to hazard a guess that you aren't 21 anymore so no, that does not surprise me! People are so acutely unaware of how easy it to gain weight and how harder it is to lose as you age.

To have actually gained 7lb in two weeks means that you must have been eating 12,250 calories more each week than you were burning, so 1,750 per day on top of the 1500-2000 you need as a baseline. Unless you've been doing something mad like replacing bagels with glazed doughnuts for your breakfast sandwiches it's unlikely you actually have eaten that many additional calories, so the weight gain likely includes some water retention. Take an average over the course of a week and I expect a more reasonable picture will emerge.

You say you’ve been over eating … what does that actually look like?

Tagyoureit · 01/11/2025 19:39

So welcome to the other side! You're no longer 21.

What have you actually been doing/eating for 2 weeks?

purple590 · 01/11/2025 19:48

That is a lot OP, why are you over eating?
