Spinal cord oedema at c4/5

sorry, posting for traffic.

was just wondering if there are any doctors around that could advise on this. The oedema isn’t from injury and I also have cervical spondylitis with myelopathy.

i work in a care home which can often be heavy work. Should I stop work for a while.

I recently has an MRI and received a phone call yesterday saying I was getting an urgent referral to neurosurgery.

Im absolutely awful at advocating for myself, which questions should I ask? 🤷‍♀️

Are you in pain or have any issues with numbness tingling or loss of function in your arms?

MrsKnob · 01/11/2025 10:19

Yes, has been bad for at least a year, also continence issues. I was under neurosurgery before, but was discharged as it apparently wasn’t bad enough yet!

Have also a lot of numbness and tingling, have had for a long time. I have had instances where I can’t feel my legs. Have lost fine motor skills and have difficulty walking sometimes, also fall a lot

MrsKnob · 01/11/2025 13:56
