I don't why this popped into my mind ..but..I wonder what happens to his staff .
Surely anyone employed by him would be nipping off toot sweet.. It wouldn't look good on your CV if you continued in the employ of man with all the dodgy goings on surrounding him.

I imagine there's a high turnover of staff tbh. Imagine the mood he will be in now.

Mylovelygreendress · 31/10/2025 17:43

Why will he need staff ?

Coffeeishot · 31/10/2025 17:47

I imagine RL staff will be moved about they might come under royal staff and not personal I don't know he will need to employ any staff he wants by himself now.

I doubt he’s cooked his own food in his life

and then there’s the story of the teddy bears on the bed in Buckingham Palace having to be arranged on the bed just so and maids getting screamed at for not doing it right. When he was in his 40s…

as the saying goes He Made His Bed, Now He Can Lie It, doesn’t quite work here because I doubt he’s made a bed in his life. He may have had to in the Navy I suppose

I dunno, probably the sort of people who have servants value ones who are just loyal and discreet no matter what... And he's supposedly quite rude to them - future employers might find it impressive, like "here's a person who can cope with anything". I reckon if I were of the servant-having classes and had, say, a disabled child who can be hard work, or a parent with dementia who gets aggressive, my attitude would be "Ten years working for AMW, you say? When can you start?".

I should imagine the king will give him an allowance plus he has his own money so if he wants a housekeeper etc he can pay for it himself. Depending on the size of property he is given, he might just have to do things for himself for once.

Hoppinggreen · 01/11/2025 17:54

I think that there are still many people (probably in the Middle or Far East) who wnat to employ someone with ANY Royal connection

DeborahVance · 01/11/2025 17:56

I was wondering if any of them will dare not to bow now. I imagine things will continue as they have been chez AMB?
