AIBU to not let DS do urbex

Urbex is exploring abandoned buildings and I recently discovered that DS16 has been doing this for quite a while without my knowledge or approval. He goes with a fairly large group of people (he met a lot of people whilst doing urbex and now goes with them). AIBU to not let him do urbex anymore? I've heard about the dangers of it (e.g. collapsing floors)?

I don't see how you'll stop him at 16 if he's determined? Maybe just make sure he's aware of risks, danger and consequences so he can hopefully make safe decisions. I find the abandoned building stuff really fascinating, but wouldn't want to get out there myself and prefer to read about in a book! Although I did a Hidden London tour around a disused tube station a few years back which was brilliant.

at 16, is he likely continue even if banned? I’d guess so, focus on at least getting him a decent mask, gloves etc as touching and breathing in some of the things in old buildings isn’t great, focus on making sure he at least has some safety gear as banning him is unlikely to stop him. And some kind of system where he drops a pin on a map app or similar before going into buildings
