Forgot to update V5C, what happens?

I moved house in January, was daft enough to forget to update my driving licence until about April when I suddenly remembered. Sent it off and got the address changed. It's taken me until now to realise I haven't updated my log book!

I've just done it online and changed the address and it's said to expect a new V5C in 5 working days but I'm worried I will get a fine for forgetting to do this for so long!

Do they notice when someone updates the log book months after the driving licence?

Nothing will happen unless you have speeding or parking fines due so they now know where to find you

@RubySquid If the address on my driving licence is correct could they have used that to contact about fines?

Nope different systems They would've sent fines to old address though
