Dental health

Hi,

Hoping there may be some dentists on here that can help me out?!

My dad went to the dentist in the summer and whilst he was there the dentist noticed what she thought was an ulcer in his mouth.

He went back to the dentist on Friday last week (not sure if this was to check on the 'ulcer' or for something else, as dad is very vague on the details). Anyway, it's not an ulcer, it's a white patch. The dentist said it could potentially be cancerous and that he needed to go to the dental hospital.

The hospital has called today and he has an appointment for 9am tomorrow.

I'm concerned that the fact he is being seen so quickly means it's more likely to be something sinister?

Does anyone have any experience of this? Is it normal to be seen so quickly? Maybe I'm overthinking?

Thanks in advance!

There is a two week wait policy for cancer so being seen so quickly is normal. Hopefully it’s good news he gets.
