Working with an agency

Hi all
I have just signed up with a job agency and they have sent me on a job interview...I got the job.

However, the company that I will be working for has other vacancies on their web site, which I'm not sure the agency has or not.
Would it be wrong to apply for a job off the web site instead of going through the agency?

I know I have a job with them already, but it's not a permanent position unlike if I went through their own listing. So, what do you think?

Appreciate any help or advice you have :)

You should apply to where you first saw that specific job listed, so if it’s on their own website and not the agency’s website then that’s where you apply.

But I did that once … was working through an agency and then once in the company, was able to browse all their internal vacancies and saw one that I’d like to apply for, so I did. They let me know that they weren’t actively recruiting for it at that time … so that’s why that job wasn’t listed with the agency.

The problem people sometimes have is when an agency tries to charge the company for you as they introduced you. Used to be a massive problem in the teaching world.
