Taking DD to driving test during my work hours

DD has her driving test next week and she’s doing it in our car so I need to take her to the test centre. It’s during my core hours at work - would your work allow you to leave and make up the time later or would you have to take a half day? Just wondering what’s reasonable.

Yes

however why my instructor took me to mine. Post a lesson. Recommend

Yes mine would without hesitation

however if yours says no, you have to book as annual leave or just accept without a fuss!

My employer would let me take the time and work it back another time, unless there was a reason I needed to be at work at that specific time (customer facing? Would someone need to cover you?).

If they won’t let you take her during core hours could you take her and the car before core hours and travel to work another way?

I booked a day off for DS, his test was 40 miles away due to being unable to get a slot locally.

I'd have to take it as annual leave or unpaid. But they would definitely let me do it at short notice. I've had plenty of crises with mine over the years.

I’d be fine to take and make up that week
