hopefully ok
Earlier this year I had BV diagnosed it was sexual health I went too and they picked this up on the same day and prescribed treatment, I didn’t think it was BV as thought it would have the smell or discharge but none more just burning and possibly urinary. I think it started due to condom (it was meant to be for sensitive yet after looked into it and apparently they’re bad for scent on it!! i’m someone that just washes with water and showers right away always been cautious as prone to thrush years ago. The treatment helped and I was fine again but then I’ve went back to them few times and they’ve diagnosed maybe 4 times this year.
I started seeing someone In July and sex has been fine, no issues then boom October I started to feel the burning and discomfort again so tried sexual health and they went this isn’t sexual health issue go to GP, I said my symptoms don’t present in usual way and finding it difficult as also prone to utis. They went the swabs are not that accurate anyways please see GP made GP app and rather than professional do it they get to self swab and it gets sent off. This is affecting me day to day (the discomfort, burning internally not just with pee its all time) i’m 30. On no contraception. The swab from GP this time came back thrush and again would expect itch or discharge but nope its the burning mainly and pressure on bladder.
google says thrush swabs are accurate but last week my period was on way so delayed treatment as know it can throw things..took fluconazole yesterday and today I feel worse!
i’m just feeling fed up as dip test said no uti
in past its been bv and now this thrush..yet its not typical :( Has anyone had this? What helps? Scared fluconazole won’t work. Its getting me down
when I looked into symptoms ureoplasma comes up yet nhs don’t test? i also don’t know why was fine for months then boom (shower, never use anything and pee after, cotton etc)
