AIBU worrying about HIGH B12

I’ve got high b12, I’ve just noticed my levels in July 2024 were high.. I’ll attach photos. I’ve read what the lab suggests about high b12- that it indicates liver, kidney & cancers. My liver and kidney function was fine as was the rest of my full blood count.

I don’t take supplements, it says retest in 2 months - they never suggested or did this.

im really worried im going to leave my babys. Im going to speak to a GP tomorrow, but Google is terrifying.

my question is, AIBU to myself? And has anyone else just had naturally high b12

Hey, so I have the same!

My b12 levels were so high that I don’t know what they were, they were beyond the cut off they test for. WAY higher than yours.

It was done by a dietician for my coeliac bloods. She didn’t even tell me they were high. In the consultation phone call, she told be all was great. I only found out when she sent the letter a week later. I called her and she didn’t care. Said they only tell you if levels were low.

All other bloods were fine. No one cares. She said she’s had it before and asked the gastro consultant and they don’t worry about it. All she could do was book me in for a retest in 6 months rather than my usual 18 months.

I contacted my GP who didn’t care either. Said he didn’t do the test so go with what the dietician says. Which is jack shit!

I think my GP will just repeat bloods 15 months on, but im
scared of what will show and that they’ll be higher 😭

If everything else is okay, it’s unlikely to be anything serious. I know it’s a worry, it’s always at the back of my mind. But you know, on one medical seems to worry.
