Ungrateful neighbour

I had around £20 worth of dog biscuits and treats that my dog isn't able to consume anymore.

My neighbour has 2 dogs and I asked her if she wanted them and I told her I would drop them later (was taking DC out).

I left the bags by her front door and she took the bags when she got back.

She hasn't even said "thank you", if someone gives me something I will always say thank you and show appreciation.

I have seen her and her husband a few times and they haven't even said "hello" or "thank you".

Is it me or is this just bad manners?

Oh dear get a life. I'm sure she said thank you or that's great or that's nice of you when you made the offer. There's nothing worse than people who give things to others and expect a medal or life long gratitude 🙄

Bad manners and if you have children and I had been given them , then I would have bought them sweets and you some nice biscuits to say thank you.

I am on the fence. As it was some half eaten dog food that your dog hated and was effectively your trash, I don't think its a big deal for her not to purposefully thank you for them.
I would have said, oh thanks for the dog treats if I saw you though.
She might have been thinking she was doing you a favour by taking your rubbish in and saving space in your bin??

The dog food was not half eaten and wasn't opened.
It cost me like £20, and she previously mentioned that her dogs loved the treats hence why I asked her.

They wouldn't of gone in the bin either as I would of donated them to a dog shelter, I was just trying to be nice.

In future I shall just donate to the dog shelter.

Rude! Weird how some people just don’t have any manners.
I’d casually ask if the dogs enjoyed them, next time you see her. If that doesn’t prompt a “thank you” then I would choose someone else to gift items to next time.
But take comfort knowing her dogs probably really enjoyed your gift and would say thank you if they could 🙂

I'm afraid this sort of behaviour is all too common nowadays.
