Help! What are these lumps??

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I keep getting flare ups of red lumps on my fingers. It’s only ever on my fingers (usually the inside) and always clustered around the joints. Googling it brings up dyshydrotic eczema but I’ve been told by a doctor that it’s not this (no itching, the lumps are bigger red bumps and not lots of clusters of smaller blisters the way Dyshidrotic eczema is) but at the same time they had no clue what it is. Dermatology is a 2yr waiting list in my area. It seems to coincide with me having really bad bouts of nocturnal diarrhoea and stomach pain but that’s been put down to IBS and might be completely unrelated and just coincidental.

anyone know wtf this could be? It’s on both hands right now, worse on the right (I’ve attached pictures)

Given the location of the bumps it looks like it could be contact dermatitis from something you're holding.

You can get same-day dermatology appointments in most areas in the UK @Sorefingers if you're willing to pay. The price isn't as prohibitive as you might first think, but it would go a long way to helping this.

Have you asked any of the pharmacist on your travels?

They can be pretty knowledgeable about some conditions, may have come across it before, nothing to lose by asking.

Could there be a community dermatologist in your area OP? The waiting lists are usually much shorter than for a dermatologist at the hospital. I suppose your GP would have mentioned it though.

I would go from pharmacist to pharmacist until I heard something that made sense in the first instance.

I’d take an antihistamine for 3 days. I get lumps a bit like that when I have contact reactions to certain washing products.
