Was my friend wrong for confronting this older man?

My friends 21 year old son is hooking up with a 39 year old man. Hes bi and they met at their gym and the older guy made a move on him from what I know. She made her son tell her where he lives and she went to his house and called him a creep and threatened him to stop or she would get him hurt. I don't know how the guy responded but she seemed very proud.

I didn't tell her my real opinion and just agreed with her but I think her son is old enough to know what hes doing an she shouldn't have gotten involved.

They’re both adults in a (presumably!) consensual relationship. Your friend behaved very badly indeed and I expect has damaged her relationship with her son irreparably.

.... or she would get him hurt.

Whatever he did or didn't do, she wasn't helping the situation and potentially laying herself open to further action if he had a ring doorbell.

“Get him hurt” ?!

She sounds classy.

LadyKenya · 16/10/2025 20:32

Yikes, she would be an ex-friend of mine, acting like that, and threatening to get him hurt.

TrifleSprinkles · 16/10/2025 20:40

She'd better watch herself. Threatening people never ends well. What he didn't isn't illegal even if its a bit seedy.

People really behave like this? Good grief.
