Worried about DD new school now

two women were arguing and swearing, becoming aggressive which nearly resulted in a fight. They were both parents. Would this worry you about the school? This was infront of children and other parents at pick up.

I wouldn’t be worried about the school specifically, but I would be worried about the behaviour of those 2 parents and how the school managed the situation, if it was on their property.

Yes agreed with PP. I’m assuming it’s a primary school if parents were there.
Also my DCs went to a very mixed / diverse school which was one of the things I liked about it. It was a good school but over the course of the 7 years they were both there this kind of thing happened a few times. It didn’t mean it wasn’t a good school. Obviously it’s not ideal but I wouldn’t let it overshadow your view of the whole school as the vast majority of parents (I assume) aren’t behaving like this.

How is your DD settling in there? Is she happy? What’s your overall impression of the school (apart from this incident) ?

Its totally about how the school handles it, rather then the incident itself.

Unfortunately I think this could happen at any school - hopefully those parents would be robustly spoken to by the school management team. I wouldn't let it put you off the school.

Yes, most surely I'd find this immensely upsetting & distressing 💚😢
