I’m literally heartbroken! I can’t describe how much his music meant to me and how deep it went into my soul as a young teen.

A phenomenal artist, just perfect.

I saw he had died and was shocked. I had the Brown Sugar album (taking me back to my school days) and loved it.

So glad to find a kindred spirit…it feels a bit wrong but my DT teacher introduced me to D’Angelo…Brown Sugar was phenomenal @JHound

Yes was very sad about that. RnB of that era was so good and he was amongst the best

only two other people I know were fans which I why I thought I’d post as I always thought he was incredibly well known. But it seems so many don’t know his music.

Yes me. Have been reading the tributes from other artists and tearing up. There are also some from ordinary people who had the chance to meet him and said he was so gentle, quiet to the point of shyness IRL.

I watched the video for ‘Untitled’ (how does it feel again). Wow, it still makes me feel funny to this day! I remember his Prince tribute which was beautiful. What a massive loss.
