Taking supermarket trolleys into smaller shops

There is a shopping centre in a suburb about 5 miles from where I live. It has a massive supermarket, an Iceland, B&M and about 30 other smaller shops.

What I find annoying are customers pushing trolleys from those places above in the other shops. All have a sign saying please refrain from letting trolleys into the shop. Or similar. The staff at these small shops have to ask customers to take their trolleys out of the shop. Responses are staying silent or shout abuse.

On the few times I go there, I either visit the smaller shops first or if go to the supermarket, put my shopping in the car, put trolley back, then visit the smaller shops. Why can’t others do the same? It has many buses going there, leave the supermarket to the last thing.

My late DGM lived to a shopping centre with a similar amount of shops, a supermarket, a different chain though. She lived 40 miles away.

Could you write to your local MP? Or ask the small shops to install a small obstacle course that trolleys cannot navigate by the entrance?

The only problem with that is that it would also restrict prams and wheelchairs.
