How do I stop this huge cat with the bowels from hell...

More of a what can I do rather than AIBU?...I'm a cat lover and have a cat myself. But there's a massive dominant male, (no idea whose, not that it'd make a difference) which is using my lawn as a litter tray.

Now..I know cats are cats but..this is absolutely horrendous. TMI incoming...
It's poos are like custard, left on top of the lawn and the smell is gag inducing,it's impossible to get it off the grass, it just spreads.

The cat is blasé, not scared, I caught it in the act and it just merely finishes up then legs it. It is a beautiful healthy looking cat by the way. I don't wish it any harm, except a desire to shove a cork up it's arse.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

We are putting in an outside tap and will have a movement activated sprinkler. Currently willing to spend virtually any money to get rid of our equivalent lawn abuser.

This should 'kill two birds with one stone' by dousing the cat and washing the poo away. Mind you, your cat might not like it 😉

One of those children’s water blaster guns is the ticket, I’ve been told.

Urgh sympathy my dog had an upset tummy and clean up was a challenge🤢 What’s your set up like/ does your cat wander? I had some luck mixing mustard powder with coffee grounds for a flowerbed being used as a loo. You have to top up though after the rain though so more of a summer remedy. You can buy stinky granules (smelt citrusy to me) to go with sprayer.

I had this. I boughtbonenof those sonic sound things that did sweet FA. So inspected a fortune on cat spikes. Mine was more a boarder issue though. So the Spikes were good in Winter and spring as a deterrent when all the plants died back and my garden became the top spot for all local cats to have a dump.

It wasn't cheap but worked. They now shit next door.

I feel your pain, having dealt with cat poo on the sole of my trainer, necessitating disinfectant , soaking and thorough washing. I’d go with the spikes or similar if you can.

This is the only thing that worked for us. Never see the cat now and have been able to turn the sprinkler off....even the sight of it must scare the cat!
