Miami in febuary

Hi ive been looking at winter sun holiday in Miami but ive no idea what area is best to stay.we are a older couple who like to soak up the sun but aslo like to visit art galleries and museums and dinning out .So prefer somewhere we can get about easily.
We will be there 7 - 8 days.
Any tips on how to make best of our break are welcome including suggesting hotels or Appartments.
Our budget would be aprox £3000 in total.

I’m cabin crew, the weather will be lovely in February, warm enough to swim and sunbathe but cool enough to explore! My advice would be wynwood. Close to centre and south beach but very arty farty/luvvie area, loads of galleries and culture and independent restaurants. Enjoy

We stayed in an art deco hotel on south beach. The Leslie, I filtered to find quiet hotels, as there are some that really aren’t. It was a great location and a lovely hotel. We did walking tours of the art deco hotels and south Miami. Hired bikes to go along the waterfront, watched the cruise ships leave, ate some lovely food. We were there 6 days (we were there because of a work thing and stayed on after so hadn’t been our choice particularly) and had an unexpectedly brilliant time. Went to museums and parks too. It was ace. And never felt unsafe or sketchy. We are in our 50s.

We were there early March and the weather was beautiful and we did swim.

Many thanks could you recommend hotel or appartments in winwood area of miami. Needs to be no more than £1600 for week
