Thrombosed external haemorrhoid post labour

I have developed a thrombosed pile from pushing. It is the worst pain ever! I’m on day 4 today and I walk or get comfy at all. It’s huge, hard and purple/black 😢 when am I going to feel normal again?!

Lube up and push it back in, that's what a dr told me to do and it worked, it's the only way to get the blood flowing properly which is what stops the pain.

Some can't be pushed back in, if they develop from the perianal veins.

Ice works really well, but just 10 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. Wrap ice or even peas in a thin material.

Call your GP and get them to prescribe uniroid. It's the best and contains a steroid that works fast.

Good luck.

Thank you, have you experienced this before? How long did it last? The pressure is horrendous

I also did try and push it back in but it just came straight back out, it’s huge 😩

Aww it's awful isnt it. I had to do it quite a few times and almost sit with my finger up my bum. Sorry I know it sounds grim but it was something I had to do quite often over the space of a day as it kept coming out again but it did help quickly.

Coconut oil REALLY helped me. They're awful in so sorry.
