To think I might have ovarian cancer

I’m only 28 but I am really worried.

I am usually flat stomached but I have been persistently bloated for 6 weeks now. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, or what I eat - it’s alway there. I have put on nearly a stone.
My tummy is absolutely huge.

I have also felt really “off” for a few weeks - I am usually quite an active person, I run etc. I haven’t been on a run in 3 weeks for a reason I can’t put my finger on, I just feel tired and I feel quite sick a lot of the time.
I am quite constipated and getting full quickly.

Over the last few days I’m getting a dull pain on my lower right side and lower right back.

I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago and told her my symptoms. She didn’t even look at my stomach and said it must be because of my contraceptive pill (I had only been taking it for 4 days and the symptoms stated way before that!!).

I then put another request through on Monday to see a doctor. They put me in for a telephone appointment on Thursday (so again; no one will see my stomach).

So last night I called 111 and they got me an OOH appointment. The lady looked at my stomach and gasped. She said it feels very tender on my right side and there’s definitely swelling. But honestly the pain is quite minimal - but in my gut I just know something is wrong.
she sent me straight to a&e but said there wouldn’t be anyone to do any relevant testing until the morning; so I am going to go after work.

I am really really worried…..

I’m sitting up worrying. I really don’t think I got the full picture today, I’m so confused as to how a UTI can cause all of this

I had the same symptoms, especially the distended/bloated stomach. No burning on peeing. I had a urine infection, but also urinary retention. So I don’t think you need to jump to the worst conclusions yet. As pps have said, take the antibiotics, treat the constipation and then see where you are.

A&E just do the immediate stuff so that sounds like a normal experience. Long term symptoms are GP. If you don't agree with GP plan or reassurance it's quite reasonable to ask for a second opinion from another GP.

Everything they did in A&E is quick generally because they want the immediate stuff that needs to be managed/can explain symptoms i.e. urine - ?infection, make sure not pregnant. Bloods - check kidney function/is anything wildly out of range. USS -any sign acute surgical/bleeding. Even if they thought cancer was a likely cause of your symptoms they wouldn't request the associated tests it would be a case of sending you to GP for them to refer/request that's how the system is setup - otherwise everyone would be turning up at A&E for not immediate things.

A UTI can cause long term symptoms if not treated. If your symptoms don't improve with treatment then go back to the GP.

If all tests come back negative that can lead to an IBS like diagnosis/it's a diagnosis of exclusion.

Here I am 2 weeks later - still the same bloating - if anything getting worse!

GP ordered ultrasound which I have tried to book, I’ve rung the number 4 times and no one has answered.
They prescribed medication for constipation which is not helping.

heres a picture of today 🥲

I recently had tests for it. An ultrasound to check my ovaries. I have contestant pain in my lower right side but she couldn’t see the right side due to his my womb was sitting but said she was looking for thickening, darkening and fee fluid and saw none. I have some uncomplicated cysts they should also give you a CA125 boood test as it will rise with inflammation. Mine is slightly elevated but because the scan showed nothing ‘sinister’ I’ve just been left in pain.
