WTAF?
Is this a new thing? Do people know how absolutely ridiculous they look? (Seen people wearing them on tv.)
I thought false eyelashes that make women look like Bambi were bad enough..

Let's put women down about their appearance yet again!

Yawn.

cornflakecrunchie · 06/10/2025 00:49

@SnipSnipMrBurgess The SLUGS & LASHES, NOT the woman..

FlamingoFloss · 06/10/2025 00:50

Not seen these? What are they? Can you link to something?

BauhausOfEliott · 06/10/2025 00:54

What on earth are you on about?

Regardless, though, it’s irrelevant whether you happen to like or dislike the way someone looks. Whatever ‘eye things that look like slugs’ are, people aren’t obliged to look the way you want them to look. They probably aren’t keen on your personal taste either, FWIW.

CustardySergeant · 06/10/2025 00:58

Are you referring to eyebrows?

Fabellini · 06/10/2025 01:01

I suspect the op might be talking about the under eye patches meant to help puffy, tired eyes. If not them, then I’ve no idea what they’re on about!

I'm assuming it's about those false eyelashes that are like a caricature of false lashes. They look more like caterpillars than slugs, imo, but I agree that they're hideous. I'm entitled to my opinion, and so long as I don't tell someone they personally look ridiculous, I don't see a problem with that.

I've only seen them online, and I imagine few women actually wear them.

cornflakecrunchie · 06/10/2025 01:33

@Fabellini They are the ones!
I couldn't believe my own eyes!

@anygoodfilmsonlaterornot
Thanks a lot, I'm going to be giggling when I'm trying to sleep now! ;-)
(it would be an awesome name for a pub, though..)

I don't understand the issue. Presumably people are wearing these at home and not 'out' in public?

rosyvalentine · 06/10/2025 01:40

I think these are the ones the OP is talking about!

Mistyglade · 06/10/2025 01:41

I’ve seen them on Towie! I thought they were like funny anti wrinkle patches you keep on for a while, like the curlers you see them wearing! No?

JHound · 06/10/2025 01:42

Why are women’s fashion choices your business?

UrticaDioca · 06/10/2025 01:42

OP has said it's the under eye patches not the eyelashes. It seems there are multiple ways to wear slugs on your face.

I'm just having a laugh, not getting at anyone in real life. Smile, it might do you good.

I mean... They're not permanent fixtures to their face (not that you should criticise them if they were. If they're happy, that's all that matters) so I don't see your problem? Lots of people are into skincare, and these are part of skincare.

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 06/10/2025 00:43

Let's put women down about their appearance yet again!

Yawn.

It's not putting women down to look at people wearing certain fashion items or doing certain things to their appearance and think it looks totally ridiculous. It's called using your critical facilities.
Fashion relies on people being sheep andI'm.not prepared to be a sheep.

Branster · 06/10/2025 07:54

Ah the under eye patches! It's a face mask for under eyes. Anti puffiness, tiredness, ageing anti this and that. Presumably these people don't go out wearing them?
It makes sense to wear them at home, like having hair rollers in. Or a sheet face mask.

Ratafia · 06/10/2025 07:55

JHound · 06/10/2025 01:42

Why are women’s fashion choices your business?

If people wear them when they're on TV, they make them everyone else's business.

And there it is, no one wanted to join in with my bitching so I'll pretend I'm just joking. The smile it might do you good is particularly douchey.
