Inspired by the opposite thread and to help banish the Sunday blues.

I am looking forward to work tomorrow because:
I have a really fun day planned (teacher)
My afterschool activities are great fun
I have staff and parent choir after school
As I have choir and need to stay late I will have tea at school (boarding school) and they have great puddings
I get paid which is always nice.

What are you looking forward to?

I am lucky to be paid well for something I love and I have a couple on interesting clients next week

BigOldBlobsy · 05/10/2025 19:22

To balance out my contribution on the other thread…

I will go to the gym tomorrow and get some exercise
i will hopefully be better rested than today
I have an interesting client in
I will get Monday out of the way with which means the rest of the week is underway

I posted on the other thread too - I'm a teacher as well and I have reasons I don't want to go to school tomorrow and reasons I do! Reasons in favour - lovely colleagues, lovely, fun kids, generally nice environment. Also, Monday Week B is the day I have two free periods at the end of the day to catch up with work! I have choir after school too, but not a school choir.

... it's cleaning lady day so I want to be out of her way (and come home to a magically clean house).

Cherrycola4 · 05/10/2025 19:24

Teaching Assistant here, can’t wait to see all of our lovely children tomorrow.

Hepzibar · 05/10/2025 19:28

Love my job, my team, my college, my colleagues (well most of them 😂).

whatcanthematterbe81 · 05/10/2025 20:12

I have my own business and only work 2 hours a day which I LOVE. I actually love what I do but also love that I’ve made it so I don’t have to do it much 🤣

insomniac1 · 05/10/2025 20:12

…..to get away from my kids 🫣

DoubtfulCat · 05/10/2025 20:15

I’m in almost a dream job. The morning is a bit manic, but once I get there it’s a brilliant team and fantastic learners (SEN unit). And I get to teach my favourite subjects.

Smileybutwily · 05/10/2025 20:15

I am fortunate to enjoy my job and to feel reasonably well paid for it.

I've a very big project that comes to the end (will no longer be my responsibility) on Tuesday evening, so the end is in sight!

My line manager is taking me for a nice meal on Tuesday evening as a 'phew, thank god that's done '

vincettenoir · 05/10/2025 20:16

I cleared a lot of work last week so I am going to do a bit of filing and e-learning and finish early.

Buddy3Legs · 05/10/2025 20:22

I've had a really tough year and on returning to work acouple of months ago after a lengthy time on sick leave I was ready to pack up and leave. Even had a job to fall into. The end of last week I realised I would be mad to leave. My work have been amazing, and I can finally see the wood for the trees.

I am looking forward to going to work tomorrow because after a long time of feeling exhausted and incapable, I realise I am actually good at my job and feel valued by colleagues and customers.

toycat · 05/10/2025 20:22

Looking forward to a quiet house 🤣

Me too…

TheChosenTwo · 05/10/2025 20:47

Also balancing out the other thread!
I like my job and my colleagues and I wfh on a Monday and Friday so always start and end the week in slobby clothes 😂

(my contribution to the other side of this was because I was tired!)

shephardspieontoast · 05/10/2025 21:06

To get away from the awful atmosphere in my house

Honeyandwine · 05/10/2025 21:11

I like my job (teacher), I love my class and I have great colleagues.

AutumnNymph · 05/10/2025 21:20

Oooh i work.from home and am.looking forward to an unusually meeting light day so i can get caught up on admin. Monday is husbands turn to cook AND its cleaning lady day.

Johnnyfartpants · 05/10/2025 21:23

My job is not stimulating or exciting but I like my colleagues a lot, my office is gorgeous, and I get paid insanely well for something that is almost entirely stress free. Add in that it’s a FTSE100 with the benefits one would expect from that, and I’m really happy!

BlueberryLatte · 05/10/2025 21:27

I love my job. I'm so grateful I have it. I'm looking forward to catching up with colleagues tomorrow and also just getting on with my work.
